Consult the
event schedule for specific dates. This page has general descriptions of ongoing programs and regular events. They include:
- CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS:
- Pre-school story times. Held most Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m., Labor Day through Memorial Day. Target audience children ages 3 - 5. Parents welcome to sit in as well. No pre-registration required.
- Summer reading program for children. Held early summer (just after end of school year) through mid-July. Program specifics vary from year to year.
- Read N’ Rec - held jointly with York’s Department of Parks and Recreation - program details vary from year to year.
- In 2007 and 2008 the Library, Parks and Recreation, and local 4-H program held joint geocache programs for children.
- ADULT PROGRAMS and EVENTS
In addition, Friends of the Library schedules displays in the Elmer Baker Memorial Display Case, and sponsors special programs for adults and general audiences.
