Kilgore Memorial Library’s staff can help locate materials and information in the library and arrange Interlibrary Loans if the library does not have the materials desired.
The library has meeting and study rooms, and various types of equipment for public use.
The library provides access to electronic information resources and guidance in their use.
Kilgore Memorial Library cooperates with the Nebraska Library Commission and other libraries to expand resources available to library users. Kilgore Memorial Library participates in the Nebraskard and Nebraska State Documents Depository programs.
Adult services
Books, newspaper and magazine issues, and materials in a variety of audio-visual formats are available for in-library use or loan. Specialized local resources include the News Index / Community Resource Databases , microfilm backfiles of the York News-Times and York Teller newspapers, York County cemetery indexes, York County census microfilms, and other resources for local history including local family history. This web site’s local features section highlights a growing selection of topics of local interest. Consult the event calendar for programs for adult and general audiences.
Children’s services
Books, magazine back issues, and materials in a variety of audio-visual formats are available for in-library use or loan. A program is held each summer for children who are independent readers, and story times for younger children are held October - May.
